Job summary

HARIBO of America, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Buyer to join our on-site team in Pleasant Prairie, WI. You will manage end-to-end procurement for indirect and direct categories, draft and negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings across factory and corporate functions. Travel to Rosemont, IL may be required.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in procurement, experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder), and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in procurement and buying roles including vendor sourcing, cost analysis, market analysis, and negotiating terms.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire contract lifecycle for procurement and purchasing for the assigned area, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating terms and prices, and executing final contracts.
• Source and purchase for both Indirect and Direct procurement as part of the Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for Indirect (services, office equipment, software, supplies) and Direct (raw materials, packaging, and manufacturing equipment) for HARIBO of America.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis and identify opportunities for savings.
• Optimize supplier relationships and ensure proper lead-times to meet business needs.
• Conduct day-to-day purchasing for multiple departments across HARIBO of America.

The Procurement Buyer, as a member of our Procurement team, recommends and develops strategic purchasing strategies for their assigned area, or category. As a member of our Procurement team and larger Supply Chain team, this role will be involved in sourcing and purchasing for both Indirect and Direct procurement needs. Indirect including services, office equipment, software, supplies, parts, etc. used for both our factory and corporate plus Direct including raw materials used for manufacturing such as ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing equipment.

The Procurement Buyer will be located on-site at the HARIBO factory offices in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, this role will also make occasional visits to our corporate office in Rosemont, Illinois.

The ideal Procurement Buyer candidate will have experience in both Indirect and Direct procurement, having worked in procurement roles directly for a company that manufactures a product- ideally in the food, pharma, or consumer goods industry. Are you HARIBO?

• As a member of our Procurement team and larger Supply Chain team, this role will be involved in sourcing and purchasing for both Indirect and Direct procurement
• Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing process for both Indirect procurement (services, office equipment, software, supplies, etc) and Direct procurement (raw materials including ingredients used in manufacturing and packaging, manufacturing equipment, etc) for supporting HARIBO of America's factory and corporate functions.
• Perform cost benefit analysis and determine opportunities for savings
• Optimize supplier relationships, ensure proper lead-times to meet business needs
• Conduct day-to-day purchasing for multiple departments, company-wide, for HARIBO of America

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years of work experience in procurement and buying / purchasing roles to include sourcing new vendors, analyzing costs, market analysis, ensuring proper-lead times with suppliers, and reviewing terms and prices
• Prior use of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or other ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with BOTH Indirect and Direct procurement. This role will be involved in purchasing for both Indirect and Direct for both the HARIBO of America factory and the HARIBO of America corporate offices
• Indirect procurement purchasing including services, office equipment, software, supplies, etc.
• Direct procurement purchasing including raw materials used for manufacturing such as ingredients and packaging, manufacturing equipment.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in both Indirect and Direct procurement, having worked in procurement or buyer roles directly for a manufacturer - ideally in the food, pharma, or consumer goods industry.
• Experience drafting RFPs and sourcing new vendors
• Ability to travel locally from Pleasant Prairie, WI factory offices to Rosemont, IL corporate offices, occasionally as needed
• Ability to travel domestically or even globally if needed
• SAP experience
