Job summary

Worley is seeking a Buyer I to support the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services for engineering and construction projects. The role collaborates with project teams to ensure timely purchases, competitive pricing, and compliant procurement documentation.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in purchasing or procurement, strong ERP/ERP-like system experience (SAP/Oracle), and excellent communication to drive effective supplier relationships while maintaining audit-ready

Qualifications

3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in engineering/construction or EPC environments.
Working knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and supplier management.
Experience creating purchase orders, obtaining supplier quotes, evaluating bids, and supporting negotiations.
Understanding of procurement documentation, contract terms, and purchasing compliance requirements.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication to build relationships across cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned purchasing activities to support project and operational requirements.
Identify and solicit qualified suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
Prepare, issue, and administer purchase orders in line with policies and project needs.
Obtain competitive pricing and support cost‑effective purchasing decisions.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, price, and delivery commitments.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, logistics, and expediting teams for project execution.
Follow up with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, or commercial concerns.
