Job summary

Riderflex is seeking a seasoned procurement leader for a fast-growing Bay Area tech company. You will own procurement end-to-end, from sourcing and contracting to renewals, building the function as the company scales.

Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT and HR to extract real value from every vendor, drive cost savings, and implement policies and automation. This is a high-ownership role in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Strong vendor and contract negotiation experience.
• Has owned meaningful company spend, over $25M.
• Experience at a fast-growing technology company or startup.
• SaaS, software or technical procurement experience.
• Highly analytical and comfortable in spend data.
• Independent worker who can build processes from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement company-wide, from sourcing through contracting and renewals.
• Lead vendor selection, evaluation and negotiation.
• Manage strategic software, infrastructure and other company spend.
• Identify cost savings and vendor consolidation opportunities.
• Build procurement processes, policies and approval workflows from scratch.
• Partner with Finance and Legal on contracts, budgets and vendor risk.
• Track company spend and improve visibility into vendor costs.
• Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Use automation and AI to make procurement faster.
• Grow the procurement function as the company scales.
