The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) is the public transit authority responsible for planning and constructing Skyline, Honolulu's rail transit system. It is the first fully automated, driverless urban light metro system in the United States and represents the largest public infrastructure project in the history of Hawaii.
Under supervision of the Director of Procurement and Contracts, this position will have a wide range of responsibilities, primarily involving administrative duties of the procurement of goods, services, construction, and the management of contracts.
Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of clerical experience, including or supplemented by two years of technical contract specification work experience.
Knowledge of: basic principles practices, purposes, and formats of purchasing contract and specification documents, office practices and procedures.
Ability to: understand and interpret applicable purchasing contract and specification laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures; review and evaluate contract and specification procedures.
Physical Requirement: Candidates must meet the health and physical condition standards deemed necessary and proper for performance of the duties.
