Are you looking to be part of a dynamic team that supports highly dedicated professionals which manage the States’ marine resources? The Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Marine Region is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Analyst I located at one of the following locations: Seal Beach/Santa Rosa/Monterey. Under the direct supervision of the Marine Region Administrative Officer II in the Administrative Program-Procurement Unit, the Analyst I will provide various technical and analytical duties. Duties include the following functions: Preparation and processing of purchase requests in accordance with State and Department mandates, access/navigate/utilize the States Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), provide purchasing support to program staff, act as the Regional Coordinator for all procurement printing need and serve as a backup role for other procurement analysts within the unit when needed.
The Analyst I will also provide regional support with logistics planning, coordination for meetings, assist with Americans with Disabilities Act for compliance with public facing documents. At times, the Analyst I will also assume the role of administrative assistant/executive assistant for the Marine Regional Manager and senior staff.
Position will be filled in the following multiple counties: Orange, Monterey, Sonoma

This position may be eligible for a telework opportunity in accordance with departmental policies and operational needs. Beginning July 1, 2026, employees will be required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. Additional in-office days may be required based on operational needs.

Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Attend meetings and conference calls. Work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Occasional travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
