Job summary

Thatcher Company is seeking a Procurement Analyst I to support our supply chain through purchasing analysis, supplier research, cost evaluation, and process improvements. You will analyze data, monitor costs, and assist in sourcing strategies while coordinating with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, and Sales.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or data analysis, with strong Excel, ERP, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or data analysis preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemical distribution preferred.
• Proficient Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with Word and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with percentages, ratios, cost comparisons.

Responsibilities

• Analyze purchasing data, material costs, and supplier pricing.
• Research and evaluate potential suppliers for materials.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations, pricing, and lead times.
• Support procurement activities including raw material procurement.
• Maintain procurement records in the ERP system.
• Prepare pricing updates and cost change notifications.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery reliability.
• Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Prepare purchasing reports and spend analyses.
