Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in governmental or highly regulated purchasing.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement rules, regulations, statutes and internal policies.
  • Space allocation experience is a plus.
  • CPP certification is preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex procurement functions including vendor selection, Bid/RFP development and evaluation, contract development, negotiation, and maintenance.
  • Monitor vendor performance, manage vendor relationships, and perform cost analysis.
  • Handle contracting activities such as contract amendments, tracking, and renewals.

Job description

The Procurement Analyst plays a vital role within the Financial Services Division of the Clerk Financial Services Department of the Clerk of the Comptroller Department, performing complex procurement and contracting activities.

Key responsibilities include managing complex procurement functions such as vendor selection, Bid/RFP development and evaluation, contract development, negotiation, and maintenance, vendor performance monitoring, vendor relationship management, and cost analysis. The Analyst is also responsible for contracting activities such as contract development, contract amendments, contract tracking and contract renewal.

This role supports a collaborative work environment that fosters teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Procurement Analyst must demonstrate strong knowledge of procurement rules, regulations, statutes, and administrative orders governing procurement standards, as well as compliance with internal policies and procedures. The position requires exceptional attention to detail and efficiency to ensure that all work is accurate, comprehensive, neat, and timely, while aligning with established performance standards.

Minimum pf Five (5) years of highly responsible experience in governmental, industrial purchasing or in a highly regulated environment is required. Space allocation experience is a plus.

Required: Valid Florida Driver’s License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
