Qualifications

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or related field.

  • Manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Inventory planning and material forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Process purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements with Production and Sales.
  • Ensure timely supplier deliveries and address disruptions.
  • Develop strong vendor relationships and conduct market research for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
  • Collaborate with Buyers to monitor budgets and expenses.
  • Assist with supplier contract negotiations and administration.

Job description

Job Title: Procurement CoordinatorLocation:Burlington, NCShift: 1stPay: $55k to $60K Individuals are responsible for: Supporting the Company's procurement activities by sourcing and evaluating suppliers, processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory and material requirements, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This position works closely with Buyers, Production, Sales, and management to ensure materials are purchased at competitive prices, meet quality requirements, and are delivered in a timely manner. The individual is expected to operate in an ethical, accurate, and timely manner while following all Company policies, procedures, and procurement practices.

Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, quality materials, and favorable terms
  • Process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement transaction records
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Production and Sales to forecast material requirements
  • Monitor supplier deliveries and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and industry trends
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, industry regulations, supplier agreements, and procurement procedures
  • Work closely with Buyers to monitor procurement budgets, spending, and expenses
  • Assist with contract negotiations and administration of supplier agreements
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records
  • Prepare purchasing reports, metrics, and analyses for management
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance
  • Work effectively with Production, Sales, Buyers, management, suppliers, and other Company personnel
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience
Required Experience
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or a related field
  • Experience working with purchase orders, vendors, and procurement documentation
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience with ERP or purchasing systems
  • Experience with supplier negotiations and contract administration
  • Experience with inventory planning and material forecasting
