Job summary

Rocky Brands, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate in Ohio to support material movement, inventory control, and order fulfillment on a 4:00 PM–2:00 AM shift.

You will document put-away tasks, operate lift trucks, and use our warehouse management system to locate and pull inventory. The role requires reading schedules, handling up to 75 lbs, and standing for long periods, with opportunities to contribute to shipping and receiving activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ months related experience and/or training in warehouse roles.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Operate and sign-out lift trucks, ensuring safety and adherence to Rocky and OSHA standards.
  • Load, pick, and unload inventory onto dismount racks, pallets, or conveyors.
  • Use the warehouse management system to locate, scan, and pull inventory.
  • Document put-away and task information for accurate inventory tracking.
  • Read production schedules, customer orders, or shipping orders to determine items to move or distribute.
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Sort items by size, type, style, color, or product code and place on racks or bins.
  • Assist shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and report needed repairs.

Job description

Standard Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Use the warehouse management system (PKMS) to document put-away and task information to assure proper tracking and inventory information; and to locate, scan, and pull inventory utilizing various Company equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and sign-out lift trucks prior to use by assessing condition and defined specifications in accordance with Rocky and OSHA standards.
  • Load, pick and unload inventory onto or off racks, pallets, skids, conveyers and or lifting devices.
  • Use the warehouse management system to locate, scan, and pull inventory.
  • Document put-away and task information to assure proper tracking and inventory information is completed.
  • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas or to shipping or other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assist shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks.
  • Perform routine inspection on equipment and refer needed repairs to supervisor.
Qualifications
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three (3) months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Beginner level of experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance, instructions; and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with both hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Ability for prolonged standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing.
  • Lifting to a maximum of seventy-five pounds (75 lbs.), with frequent lifting and carrying of up to fifty (50) pounds (50 lbs.).
  • Good eye/hand coordination.
