Job summary

Arise Financial, formerly Rockland FCU, is seeking a Processor/Funder I – Consumer in Canton, MA. The role focuses on seamless loan processing from approval through funding across auto, personal, credit card, and secured loans, reporting to the Consumer Lending Team Leader.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in banking or loan processing, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with Sync1, MeridianLink, or Keystone. Hybrid work from home with in-office days is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of banking or loan processing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with consumer loan products and funding processes.
• Knowledge of loan origination and core processing systems (Sync1, MeridianLink, Keystone) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review consumer loan files to ensure complete documentation before funding.
• Assist with preparing loan documents and verify terms, rates, and borrower information.
• Process routine loan funding transactions, including direct deposits and check disbursements.
• Support indirect auto loan processing by obtaining required stipulations and documentation.
• Enter data and update systems to maintain accurate loan records.
• Identify missing documentation and follow up with members or dealers.
• Perform basic quality checks for policy compliance.
• Assist with lien perfection and collateral processing.
• Respond to inquiries related to loan processing promptly.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready loan files.
• Escalate discrepancies to senior team members as needed.

About the Role

As a Processor/Funder I – Consumer , you’ll help make the lending process smooth and seamless from approval through funding. Working under the direction of the Team Leader – Consumer Lending, you’ll support consumer loan processing and funding for auto, personal, credit card, and secured loans. Your attention to detail will help ensure loan documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for timely disbursement while providing helpful support to members, dealers, and internal teams.

What You'll Do

• Review consumer loan files to ensure required documentation, conditions, and approvals are complete before funding.
• Assist with preparing loan documents and verifying loan terms, rates, fees, and borrower information for accuracy.
• Process routine loan funding transactions, including direct deposits, dealer payments, and check disbursements.
• Support indirect auto loan processing and funding by obtaining required stipulations and documentation.
• Complete data entry and system updates in loan origination and core systems tomaintain accurate loan records.
• Identify missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with internal teams, dealers, or members to obtain needed information.
• Perform basic quality checks on loan files to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist with lien perfection by ensuring required documentation is completed and forwarded for collateral processing.
• Respond to internal and external questions related to loan processing and funding in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready loan files and documentation.
• Escalate discrepancies, exceptions, or other issues to senior team members as appropriate.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of banking, loan processing, financial services, or related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of consumer loan products, loan documentation, and funding processes.
• Familiarity with loan origination and core processing systems preferred, such as Sync1, MeridianLink , or Keystone.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when reviewing documentation and entering data.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a commitment to providing helpful service to members, dealers, and internal partners.
