POSITION OVERVIEW

Processing Technician

Starting Pay: $26.72/hour $0.55/hour additional shift differential pay (2nd shift & 3rd shift) 8-hour rotating shifts

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

• 8-hour shifts
• 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm
• 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
• 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am

Rotational Shift Schedule

Rotation is 4 weeks on 1st shift, then 4 weeks on 3rd shift, then 4 weeks on 2nd shift Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist miller by providing process system support, including learning and performing processing positions and equipment operation
• Perform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all processing areas
• Perform Wheat house start-up and shutdown on A/B & C mills
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance activities on milling equipment and assist maintenance as needed
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees
• Assist other plant areas as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industry
• Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts
• Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
• Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
• Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
