General Mills, Inc. Kansas City site is seeking a Processing Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role involves operating milling equipment, supporting sanitation, and participating in continuous improvement efforts across our biscuit and flour production lines.

Starting pay is $26.72 per hour with an additional $0.55 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. 8-hour shifts rotate across 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with overtime and weekend work as needed to meet production goals.

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

• 8-hour shifts

• 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm
• 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
• 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am

• Rotational Shift Schedule
• Rotation is 4 weeks on 1st shift, then 4 weeks on 3rd shift, then 4 weeks on 2nd shift
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed

• Plantoperates24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

• Assist miller by providing process system support, including learning and performing processing positions and equipment operation
• Perform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all processing areas
• Performing Wheat house start-up and shutdown on A/B & C mills
• Performing preventative and reactive maintenance activities on milling equipment and assist maintenance as needed
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees
• Assistother plant areas as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industry

• Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts

• Mustpossessthe ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplaceregardingwork matters (our business isgenerally conductedin English)

• Ability tolift upto 50lbs

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods

• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions

• Ability to climb and/or work at heights whileutilizingstairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms

• Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards

• Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net,gloves,and face masks (whenrequired)

• Ability to work around high-speed machinery and foodallergens

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Manufacturing or production experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
