Job summary

Western Smokehouse Partners is seeking a Processing Team Lead to oversee grinding, mixing, and stuffing operations in the processing department. You will ensure equipment safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while supporting daily production planning and cross-functional collaboration with Quality and Maintenance.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and attention to detail to maintain product integrity and drive continuous improvement in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of food manufacturing experience; grinding/mixing/stuffing ops preferred.
• Leadership/training experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GMPs, sanitation, allergen control, and food safety standards.
• Mechanical aptitude to adjust, operate, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and report operational/quality data.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with developing and executing daily production schedules.
• Monitor grinding, mixing, and stuffing equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and batch specs.
• Maintain traceability through buggy tags, truck tags, code dates and records.
• Lead, mentor, and train production staff in core operations.
• Ensure new hires receive hands-on training in procedures and safety.
