Steel and Pipe Supply in Kansas is seeking a Processing Specialist to turn steel into customer orders by bending, cutting, and loading parts for shipment. You will help uphold a safety-first culture and work with teammates in a fast-paced environment.

The role is on the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), with exposure to the elements and active physical work, including frequent lifting and standing. Overtime and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 18+ years old.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Process material (steel) into parts by bending or cutting for customer orders.
• Follow safety policies and safe work practices.
• Load finished parts onto trucks for shipment.
• Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in daily tasks.

What is aProcessingSpecialist?

ProcessingSpecialistsreceivematerial(steel)andturn it intoparts that our customers order by bending or cutting it withlasers and/or saws before cleaning it, inspecting it,and loading iton trucksto be shipped to the customer. This position helps the company create a culture of safety by following all safety policies and safe work practices.

What can you expect from the job?

• 3rd shift – 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Monday-Friday
• Exposure to the elements
• Dirtyworking conditions
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical or machinery parts
• Moderately stressfulandconstantly changingwork environment
• Lots ofwalking and standing–up to 8 hours a day
• Frequent lifting, pushing,or pullingof materialup to 51lbs.

What are the requirements?

• Valid driver’s license

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay of $20.00 an hour plus $3.50 shift differential
• Quarterly profit sharing bonus opportunity
