Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply in Kansas is seeking a Processing Specialist on 2nd shift to prepare steel materials for customer orders by bending or cutting with lasers and saws. You will clean, inspect, and load parts for shipment while following all safety policies.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with a $3.50 shift differential; there are opportunities for quarterly profit sharing, merit raises every 90 days, and an annual bonus, plus 401k matching, health and life insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 18+ years old.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials and cut/bend into customer parts.
• Operate lasers and/or saws to form parts.
• Clean, inspect, and load parts onto trucks.
• Follow safety policies and safe work practices.

This position helps the company create a culture of safety by following all safety policies and safe work practices.

What can you expect from the job?

• 2nd shift – 3:00 p.m.– 11:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
• Exposure to the elements
• Dirtyworking conditions
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical or machinery parts
• Moderately stressfulandconstantly changingwork environment
• Lots ofwalking and standing–up to 8 hours a day
• Frequent lifting, pushing,or pullingof materialup to 51lbs.
