Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery, Inc. in New London, WI is seeking a dependable Processing & Sanitation Team Member for the 2nd shift. You'll learn multiple areas of our cheese processing operation and contribute to safety, quality and teamwork.

No prior cheese-making experience required; on-the-job training will cover cheese and ingredient batching, sanitation, and equipment operation. This is a hands-on role with growth opportunities at a long-established Wisconsin dairy.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; eagerness to learn and work in the dairy industry is also valued.
Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with supervisors and team members.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills are helpful, but training is provided.
Ability to successfully complete forklift and equipment training.

Responsibilities

Learn and rotate through key processing areas, including cheese batching, ingredient batching, barrel dumping and conveyor/track operations.
Accurately weigh and prepare cheese and ingredients according to production formulas.
Inspect raw cheese for quality and sanitation concerns and report issues to Quality Assurance.
Move and organize cheese, ingredients and supplies as needed.
Operate forklifts, hand trucks and other equipment after completing required training.
Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas according to established procedures.
Complete required production and sanitation documentation.
Follow GMPs, food safety, quality and workplace safety requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery - New London is looking for a dependable Processing & Sanitation Team Member to join our 2nd shift team.

You’ll be trained to work across several areas of our cheese processing operation, including cheese and ingredient batching, barrel dumping, conveyor/track operations and sanitation. You don't need to be an expert in cheese production—we'll train you. We're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn and takes pride in doing quality work.

You’ll Need

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable with:

Repetitively lifting and moving 50+ pounds
Pushing approximately 500-pound barrels of cheese along a track
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift
Bending, reaching, pushing and pulling throughout the shift
Working around food production equipment and cleaning chemicals

Work Environment

You’ll work in a food manufacturing environment where safety, sanitation and food quality are priorities.

The work environment may be wet and warm, particularly during sanitation activities. Employees are expected to follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures.
