Job summary

Vital Farms is seeking a Processing Crew Lead to bridge the gap from local farms to stores. You’ll work 12-hour shifts on Day Crew, 6am to 6pm, with a 2-2-3 rotation. This role requires organizing workflow, leading operators, and ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead and coach operators and supervise a shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs and work 12-hour shifts.
• Proven ability to organize workflows and meet production goals.
• Fluent in English for safety and quality reasons.

Responsibilities

• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedule.
• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate to employees.
• Lead and develop operators, creating equipment and system ownership.
• Regulate production with shift supervisors to meet goals.
• Evaluate job performance of operators.
• Ensure safety and food safety procedures are followed.
• Drive waste elimination and continuous improvement.
• Coach others and lead daily direction-setting meetings.
• Provide recommendations to supervisors on issues.
