Job summary

Livestock Nutrition Center in Quanah, TX seeks motivated Processing Laborers to join our team. You will help keep the mill clean, perform routine maintenance, record production data, and support efficient operations in a busy feed manufacturing environment.

Candidates should be able to stand long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather. Forklift experience is a plus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk/stand for 12 hours per shift.
• Able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift/Skid Steer/Front-end Loader experience preferred.
• Work in varying weather; exposure to dust and extreme temps.
• Maintain safe working environment and follow OSHA/FSMA standards.
• Strong attention to detail and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Keep the mill and surrounding grounds clean.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly maintenance tasks.
• Assist in repairs with maintenance staff and contractors.
• Record production data and maintain batch records.
• Help maximize mill efficiency and crew performance.
• Operate equipment safely per training.
• Follow company safety practices and OSHA standards.
• Identify hazards when assembling equipment.
• Send batches to surge tanks and densifiers as required.
• Keep Processing Barn clean and organized.
• Perform related operational tasks as directed by local management.

We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Position Summary

Livestock Nutrition Center, a leading regional feed manufacturing company, is looking for motivated Processing Laborers to join our team.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Ensure the mill is kept clean, including the grounds surrounding the Mill.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks are completed
• Assist in repair and maintenance projects with the maintenance staff and contractors, as well as fulfill Project Manager requests.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation (batch records, machine logs, downtime reports)
• Assist in maximizing efficiency of the mill and crew
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment, following proper training of all equipment.
• Ensure company safety practices are followed, along with OSHA standards
• Must be able to recognize potential hazards when assembling/disassembling Processing Barn Equipment, including densifiers and heat exchangers.
• Ability to send batches to correct surge tanks to ensure they go to the proper densifier.
• Ability to be able to send final product into proper bay in the Finished Product Barn.
• Ability to perform basic housekeeping duties including toolroom organization, maintaining cleanliness of break room, and keeping the Processing Barn as clean as possible to minimize hazards.
• Perform any other related operational processes and tasks deemed necessary by local management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to walk and stand for 12 hours a day/night.
• Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs.
• Forklift, Skid Steer, Front end loader experience preferred.
• Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, extreme heat or cold.
• Maintain safe working environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Familiarity with FSMA standards related to feed production preferred.
