Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn new systems, software, and processes.
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Complete onboarding, safety, and food safety training.
  • Follow workplace safety, quality, and food safety requirements.
  • Report safety or food safety concerns to a supervisor.
  • Learn processing operations by working with employees and supervisors.
  • Attend training sessions, team meetings, and improvement discussions.
  • Help identify ways to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collect and review data to support projects and operational improvements.
  • Present project findings and recommendations to management at internship end.

Berberian Nut Company is now hiring Processing Interns for 2027!

The Processing Intern position gives Berberian Nut Company the opportunity to develop and assess potential future talent. Interns gain hands-on experience within ARI while building the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for future roles across Ag Reserves’ processing facilities.

Summary:

The Processing Intern role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing and processing environment. Interns work closely with operations and leadership teams to learn how the business operates, support improvement projects, and develop skills for future career opportunities. This role offers practical experience in safety, quality, production, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete all required onboarding, safety, and food safety training.
  • Follow all workplace safety, quality, and food safety requirements.
  • Report any safety or food safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
  • Learn processing operations by working alongside employees and supervisors.
  • Attend training sessions, team meetings, and improvement discussions.
  • Help identify ways to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collect and review data to support projects and operational improvements.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Complete an assigned internship project related to business or operational needs.
  • Present project findings and recommendations to management at the end of the internship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement.

  • Periodic exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals used in processing, cleaning, or maintenance activities.
  • Noise levels are often high and may require the use of hearing protection.
  • Work hours may vary based on and may include day, night, weekend, holiday, or extended shifts to support continuous operations.
  • Travel by vehicle may be required for other company facilities, suppliers, or operational sites.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hard hats, safety footwear, hearing protection, and protective clothing will be provided in accordance with applicable laws and company policy. Employees are required to wear designated PPE when tasks or work areas require it; compliance with PPE requirements is mandatory.
