Job summary

Sirna & Sons Produce in Ravenna, OH, is hiring for a Day Shift Prep Helper to join our family-run wholesale team. You will wash, trim, portion produce and support safety and cleanliness in our prep areas, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

We offer consistent hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, competitive pay ($16.00–$18.00 per hour), benefits, and weekly pay. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong reliability, and a willingness to learn food-safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, trim, cut, and portion produce items per daily prep lists and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of prep areas, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper glove use, handwashing, and equipment cleaning.
• Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, OSHA and Food Safety regulations.

Essential Functions:

Pay Rate:

Physical Demands:

• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in cold and wet cooler environment for extended periods of time
