Job description

Join Sartorius as a Process Technology Engineer, supporting upstream and downstream bioprocess solutions across the full project lifecycle from customer discovery through project execution. You will collaborate with Sales, customers, and global engineering teams to deliver optimized process and equipment solutions.

The primary responsibility for this role is to support discovery meetings and technical review of customer requirements to define the optimal equipment or process solution as well as to perform engineering tasks associated with basic engineering phase of assigned projects and process engineering support throughout the project lifecycle for assigned projects.

This role is based at our Marlborough, MA location.

• Collaborate with Sales and customers to define bioprocess solutions during discovery and technical review.
• Develop process design documents (PFDs, mass balances, basic engineering deliverables).
• Perform process engineering tasks including equipment sizing, technology selection, and troubleshooting.
• Support project execution end-to-end (quotation through customer acceptance).
• Contribute to RFQ strategy, costing, and proposal development.
• Execute basic design scope (PFD, P&ID, GAD, process descriptions, component specifications).
• Act as a technical point of contact during project execution.
• Maintain knowledge of bioprocessing technologies and Sartorius solutions.

Salary range: $95,000-$120,000 (based on experience).
