Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks candidates for a structured 3-4 year apprenticeship in injection molding and related equipment. You will learn setup, process optimization, mold changeovers, and troubleshooting, while supporting technicians and engineers to maintain efficient production.

The program requires a high school diploma or GED and a willingness to return to school for required coursework. Physical lifting up to 50 pounds and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to return to school and complete required technical coursework as part of the apprenticeship program.
• Commitment to a structured 3-4 year apprenticeship program.
• Must work in a manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred: technical school coursework or vocational training.
• Manufacturing experience and experience with injection molding, machinery, or industrial equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting or mechanical repair experience.
• Reliable transportation to work and training locations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with setup, startup, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Support Process Technicians and Engineers in maintaining efficient manufacturing processes.
• Assist with machine parameter adjustments to meet quality and production goals.
• Participate in mold changeovers, process validations, and production startups.
• Learn scientific molding principles and process optimization techniques.
• Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process-related issues.
• Monitor product quality and assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
