Job summary

Novolex in Franklin, OH is seeking a Process Technician to serve as the subject matter expert for a defined area of the production line. The role emphasizes troubleshooting equipment, optimizing machine performance, and supporting safe, efficient operations on the factory floor.

The incumbent will train staff, follow GMP and food safety standards, and work with Plant Leadership to drive continuous improvement, reduce downtime, and sustain product quality.

Qualifications

• Formal education related to area of focus preferred or significant prior experience in manufacturing
• Minimum 1-3 years preferred in a manufacturing environment
• Able to communicate up and down within the organization
• Able to teach, coach, and train production personnel
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading teams and motivating employees

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve process and/or equipment issues
• Deliver hands-on training, coaching employees on equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Follow GMP in compliance with all food safety requirements
• Collaborate with Plant Leadership to continuously improve area of focus
• Fill in and provide support for team members as needed
• Monitor and optimize machine performance, including productivity, uptime, waste, quality, and speeds
• Analyze machine performance, downtime, waste, and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, startup procedures, quality standards, and best practices
• Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and preventive maintenance programs
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
