Job summary

E Ink is seeking a Process Technician for the Systems Support team in Billerica. The role performs day-to-day chemical/fabrication processes in a research lab, maintains parts inventory, fabricates minor assemblies, and supports data gathering for chemical batch execution.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong problem-solving, effective communication, safety awareness, and teamwork in a fast-paced lab environment. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 6 months to 2 years of work experience.
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing < 48 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Execute batch processes within the benchtop research arena.
• Handle specific chemical materials following safety guidelines.
• Accurately execute batch run sheets with researchers and engineers.
• Interface with process equipment in the lab and facilities environment.

About the position:

The Process Technician is responsible for performing day-to-day chemical/fabrication processes in a research lab environment. They will organize and maintain the parts inventory, fabricate minor assemblies, and provide basic guidance to others regarding component use. They will also contribute to the completion of and data-gathering related to chemical batch execution. With high attention to detail, the ideal candidate exhibits strong problem-solving and communication skills, as well as have a team player mentality, and strong awareness of safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute various batch processes within the benchtop research arena
• Handle specific chemical materials in accordance with proper safety guidelines
• Accurately execute batch run sheets in a safe and efficient manner in conjunction with research scientists and engineers
• Interface with electronic and process equipment to perform the various operations within the lab and facilities environment
• Participate and engage in all aspects of the Technician Certification Program
• Don appropriate process Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, fire resistant clothing, steel toed shoes, nitrile gloves, and respirator
• Work collaboratively in a team-based operation requiring cooperative co-worker engagement

Shift is Sunday - Wednesday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma with 6 months to 2 years of work experience
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office suite
• Self-motivated and flexible and versatile to adapt to changes
• Ability to multitask with precision and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing < 48 pounds
• Able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of a 10 hour workday
• Fine motor skills to accommodate accurate material compounding and delicate lab equipment

Preferences

• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Previous knowledge of safe practices and OSHA requirements
• Waste water processing experience
• Experience with ISO-9001 and GMP guidelines

Salary Range Disclosure: The hourly range for this position is $20 to $27, not including any variable pay. The total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other variable pay components. The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
