Job summary

Hapco Elmar in Baraboo, WI is seeking a Process Technician / Set-up to manage injection molding set-up, start-up, and quality checks. You will support continuous improvement initiatives, ensure safety, and collaborate with the Plant Manager on daily tasks.

The role is full-time, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with responsibilities including mold handling, process monitoring, and maintaining production quality. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years’ mold experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with setting, starting, and sampling injection molds.
• Forklift Certification and Overhead Crane Certification are required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, sample, and shut down injection molds.
• Monitor machine performance and optimize material-to-product yield.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain quality standards throughout production.
• Train and coach new employees on processes and safety.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate daily production resources to meet schedule attainment and on-time delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

DATE: August 2026

Position Summary: Responsible for all injection molding set-up, start-up, shut down, quality checks, continuous improvement, safety, and other duties assigned by the Plant Manager.

Job Type:

• Full time, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Set up, start, sample, and shut down injection molds
• Monitor machine performance and optimize material-to-product yield
• Implement Lean Manufacturing standards and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain quality standards throughout production
• Train and coach new employees on processes and safety
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and compliance with company policies
• Coordinate daily production resources to meet schedule attainment and on-time delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience setting, starting, and sampling injection molds
• Forklift Certification and Overhead Crane Certification
• Working knowledge of injection molding support systems (quality, supply chain, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong knowledge of injection molds and polymers (Cincinnati Milacron experience preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
