Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and biosciences, invites applications for a manufacturing operator in Cedar Rapids, IA on site. You will operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, use the DeltaV control system, document production data, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, QA, and operations to improve productivity while following GMPs and SOPs.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, 2+ years of industrial experience, and the ability to lift 55

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of experience in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or related environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working safely in an industrial production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience with DeltaV or similar process control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Use DeltaV process control to monitor performance and stability.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, quality, and operations teams.
• Accurately document operational activities and production records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, reliability, and safety.
• Follow SOPs and GMPs.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate production status clearly.
