Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Pineville, LA is seeking a Process Technician to operate extrusion and blow-m molding lines, ensuring high-quality plastic containers for consumer brands. You will monitor temperatures, pressures and cycle times while maintaining a climate-controlled, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification/education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Tech.

Job description

As a Process Technician, you operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands. At our company, we take pride in maintaining our high standards for quality products and a positive team culture.

Set Schedules: Fixed 12-hour shift assignments on nights with a cycle of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. This equates to two 3-day weekends off every month.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe and climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment and adjust settings such as heat control, water cooling temperatures and hydraulic pressure to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Assure customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications such as bottle weights and dimensions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification or secondary education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology; or a combination of relevant work experience and education that demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
