Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Mold Setter/Injection Molding Technician for 2nd shift in Massachusetts. You will maintain and set up injection molding machines, troubleshoot processes, and coordinate with teams to ensure ready materials and on-time production.

Responsibilities include mold and color changes, monitoring ISO and safety standards, and driving continuous improvements. A High School diploma or GED plus 1–2 years of molding experience are preferred; forklift and LOTO training are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving required.
• 1-2 years injection molding experience required.
• Completion of Paulson training in injection molding is preferred.
• Forklift certification and LOTO training are expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain injection molding machines to achieve quality and on-time delivery.
• Set-up and start-up of injection molding machines.
• Troubleshoot molding operations and perform mold/color changes.
• Coordinate with Material Handlers and Operators to ensure materials are available.
• Monitor machine operations for ISO, safety, quality and efficiency; drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with production management to organize production activities.
• Work with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve equipment and quality problems.
• Document daily process conditions and mold repair details.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Responsible for determining and implementing best manufacturing practices for current and future production related to set-up, start-up, processing, and maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers.


• Set-up and start-up of injected molding machines.


• Applies injection molding principles and molding theories to troubleshoot and process molding operations.


• Performs mold and color changes on injection machines.


• Works with Material Handlers and Machine Operators to make sure raw materials within the work cell are readily available.


• Monitors machine operation for compliance to all ISO, health, safety, quality, and efficiency standards; analyze and lead continuous improvements.


• Works with production management to review and organize production activities.


• Collaborates with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment and quality problems within molding cell.


• Evaluates scrap reduction techniques within work cell.


• Monitors and documents daily process conditions; logging changes and drafting detailed mold repair work information form sheets


• Ensures safety, cleanliness, and organization of work area.


• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem solving skills.


• Basic understanding of molding and processing skills.


• Ability to train new Mold Setters as needed.


• Can successfully act as backup Mold Setter.


• Good training and leadership skills; team oriented.


• Successful completion of \"Fundamentals of Injection Molding\" Paulson Training.


• Successful completion of “Technology of Injection Molding – Level 1 Module with Skill Builder Simulation” Paulson Training.


• Successful completion of “Implementing Decoupled Molding” Paulson Training.


• Successful completion of Forklift certification.


• Successful completion of LOTO training.


• Highly motivated.


• Computer proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word.


• Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.


• Ability to work overtime as required.


• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.


• 1-2 years Injection Molding experience required (or prior external experience).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).


• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.


• Requires manual dexterity.


• Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.


• Frequently moves from waist level to floor level.

2nd Shift
