Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Second Shift Process Technician to join our team at our custom injection molding facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all processing parameters related to injection molding during the third shift, ensuring production safety, quality, efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific molding or decoupled molding techniques, with a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in injection molding processing. You will play a key role in troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining production processes to meet customer requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling to ensure safety, efficient and accurate production runs.
• Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, cycle time, and injection speed to ensure optimal product quality.
• Utilize decoupled molding or scientific molding techniques to analyze and improve molding processes.
• Conduct daily process checks and make necessary adjustments to maintain process stability and consistency.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on process-related issues to minimize downtime and reduce scrap rates.
• Collaborate with other shift teams and engineers to share knowledge and improve overall processes.
• Document process parameters, machine settings, and any changes made during production for quality tracking and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support and execute process improvements, cost‑saving initiatives, and best practices for injection molding.
• Conduct periodic maintenance and cleaning of molds and tooling, ensuring minimal disruptions to production.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and customer specifications throughout the shift.
• Provide technical support to production operators and troubleshoot any molding‑related issues as they arise.
• Report production data, including cycle times, yield rates, and downtime, to the team and management for analysis.
• Ensure proper line clearance at the beginning of each shift, performing detailed checks to confirm that all prior production is cleared and prepared for the new run, preventing contamination, and maintaining product quality.
• Adhere to 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure the work area remains organized, safe, and efficient. Actively participate in maintaining a clean, orderly, and well‑maintained production environment.
