Job description

This is a 2nd or 3rd Shift Role

2nd shift - 3pm-11:30pm M-F

3rd shift - 11pm-7:30am M-F

Position Summary:

Plans and performs a range of machine start-ups and adjustments, material replenishment of plastic injection materials, improving efficiency and ensuring quality specifications are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Start up machines according to manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to maximize machine uptime and perform tasks assigned by the team leader.
• Identify and report safety hazards using the Intelex system.
• Willing to train individuals with the right attitude and skill set.
• Maintain the pre-production floor by keeping jobs running and closing out IRS tickets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in injection molding and setup required. Knowledge of processing and understanding injection machine processes is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform basic math, and use measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to use hand tools and operate equipment.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of machine capacities of injection molding machines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• 8-hour shifts, including days, swing, and night shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work.
• Factory environment requiring standing and walking most of the day.
• Work area temperature varies; appropriate clothing is recommended, see employee handbook for attire guidelines.
