Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation in Penn Yan, NY is seeking a Process Technician to support the Set-up Process department and operate blow molding machines in a fast-paced facility.

You will read drawings, perform changeovers, and assist process engineers to improve processes while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The role is hourly with shift options and requires lifting up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; not required.
• Attention to detail, reliable attendance, and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to work safely in a team environment and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow Silgan Safety, Quality and GMP policies.
• Support processing issues in plastic container manufacture.
• Read and understand product drawings and specifications.
• Troubleshoot blow molding equipment and assist when breakdowns occur.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and conduct quality inspections.
• Operate forklifts and run blow molding machines.
• Assist in production machine set-ups and changes.
• Collaborate with process engineers on new processes and containers.
