Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Woodridge, IL seeks a Process Technician to support the Engineering group, assisting with process development and troubleshooting of automated finishing operations. You will train supervisors and operators on new equipment and contribute to PPAP/APQP activities to ensure flawless product launches.

Responsibilities include coordinating with production and quality, creating Standard Work, maintaining equipment, and applying safe practices.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • A working knowledge of rubber-to-metal adhesive systems is a plus.
  • Good technical problem solving/analytical skills and mechanical aptitude are required.
  • Operator training experience including mold changing, mold cleaning, mold repair.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, tool designs, tool maintenance, press and machine operation is a plus.
  • Experience with waste-less and flash-less molding processes is a strong plus.
  • Experience in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Must exhibit good communication, project management, interpersonal skills, and an ability to manage his/her own priorities and workload while working in a team environment.

  • Understand and implement the health, safety and environmental policies and integrate them into daily work activities.

Job description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with process development and troubleshooting. This is a key position to support the Engineering group, which, as a whole, is responsible for a large portion of the facility's APQP process to support the flawless launch of new products. Training of supervisors, group leaders and production associates on new equipment and processes is also an important responsibility. The process technician will be responsible for performing troubleshooting tasks and repair works on complex automated machines used to finish or inspect parts in both value streams. This position requires a strong awareness of best-practice rubber molding and finishing processes.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
  • Pay Range: $19.04/hr to $21.02/hr
