Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Process Technician to manage and adjust all processes for plastics injection molding machines in our South Bend, Indiana facility. You will perform daily checks on molds, machines, robots, and related equipment, with a focus on reliable production start-ups and efficient cycles.

Responsibilities include supervising the shift, assigning operators, coordinating with QA and maintenance, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Process Technician for plastic injection molding.
• Team player with supervisory and training experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow established procedures / specifications and maintain accurate records.

Purpose & Scope:

This role is responsible for managing and adjusting all processes for plastics injection molding machines as well as performing daily checks on molds, machines, robots, and other related equipment.

Essential Duties May Include:

• Complete plastic molding machine production start-ups and re-starts, after mold changes.


• Implement established processes for new and existing molds to run at optimum cycles.


• Partner with material handlers, operators, and other technicians to keep machines running.


• Assign operators work as instructed.


• Assist Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance and Engineering in resolving any issues with production process, troubleshoot and find solutions.


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.


• Supervise shift and leading team-members.

Physical Demands of position:

• The ability to manage several projects at one time with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.


• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment.


• Occasional need to bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, and lift, up to 50 lbs.


• Frequent walking / standing.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift


• Monday to Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm


• 2nd shift
