Job summary

Westlake Epoxy Inc is seeking a Process Technician to safely operate reactors, storage tanks, boilers, and associated utilities in a 24/7 facility. You will document process parameters, manage batch records, and support maintenance requests while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, English fluency, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with a willingness to overtime. Forklift experience and DCS proficiency are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to use a computer to send/read email, complete computer-based training, and operate the DCS.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently.
• Must follow instructions and be self-motivated.
• Must be able to perform mathematical operations accurately.
• Must possess hand-eye motor coordination.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime.
• Must work well with others and function in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate process control equipment, pumps, motors, reactors, tanks, oil heaters, boilers, and other utility systems.
• Record parameters, monitor conditions, and log operating data.
• Create maintenance/repair requests and troubleshoot basic operational problems.
• Ensure materials are tracked and logged in batch documentation.
• Operate equipment using the Distributive Control System (DCS).
• Support continual improvement and participate in shift training when needed.
