Job summary

Ontex is seeking a Process Technician for the 12-hour night shift (6:45pm–7am, 2-2-3) at our North Carolina facility. You will support the Process Engineer in CI activities, carry out samples and tests in production, and participate in maintenance and product changes.

The role emphasizes line optimization, changeovers, and ensuring safety, quality and OEE targets. Strong communication, leadership, and flexibility are required to succeed in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of operational experience in the industrial technical area.
• Ability to use work tools and small tools.
• Good leadership, priority management, communication and relationships with colleagues.
• Strong orientation to the result and flexibility.
• Proficiency with office software.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Process Engineer in the creation of in-line process control tools to ensure reproducibility and compliance with Product Specifications.
• Archives line parameter cards, machine book, cleaning plans and check lists.
• Support development of operators capabilities.
• Verifies the process parameters and, in case of deviation, assists in creating specific action plans.
• Supports the conductor in complex fault searches.
• Collaborates with maintenance to understand causes of repetitive and abnormal replacements.
• Drives continuous improvement (OMEX) standards and implementations (CIL, CLM, DH, etc).
• Executes and optimizes product/size changeovers.
• Improves changeover analysis to reduce time spent on changeovers.
• Supports drivers in restart phases from format change and scheduled maintenance.
• Contributes to line results such as NOP, OEE, waste, safety and quality.

Purpose

It supports the Process Engineer in continuous improvement activities and carrying out samples and tests in production. It supports and contributes to scheduled maintenance activities and actively participates in product changes.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks

• Supports the Process Engineer in the creation of in-line process control tools in order to ensure the reproducibility of results and compliance with Product Specifications.

Role Complexity

The Role involves the coordination of process activities and format changes on the lines with a view to optimizing them for times and methods applied.

The complexity refers to the management of the different technologies that imply a varied technical knowledge of the same.

Contributes significantly to line results in terms of NOP, OEE, waste,safety and quality.
