Job Summary:

This position serves as the main point of contact for the assigned production line, maintaining and enhancing processes to meet productivity, quality, and customer standards. The role involves gathering and analyzing information to implement process improvements and effective communication across all organizational levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor product, process, and equipment activities to identify issues or opportunities, evaluate information, and coordinate actions.
• Analyze data, apply lean manufacturing principles, prioritize activities, make decisions, and implement improvements.
• Communicate with plant personnel, gather input, and provide instructions. Interact with suppliers, customers, and technical support, and prepare technical documentation.
• Plan and coordinate projects like new part development and tooling.
• Perform routine TPM activities.
• Provide troubleshooting support during off-hours as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Understanding of the process with basic knowledge of other processes, plant products, and the automotive glass industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Effective interaction with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and support teams; team leadership or participation skills.
• Ability to interpret data, analyze causes, apply knowledge, and learn continuously.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and maintain licensing.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and efficiency in completing tasks.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand machine and product prints.

Education / Experience:

• Seven years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Five years of operator experience preferred.
• Post-secondary education is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements, Safety, and Work Environment:

• Work in a typical manufacturing environment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; assistance for heavier loads.
• Use of hand tools, reaching, seeing, hearing, and speaking capabilities.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods.
• Adherence to security and PPE protocols.
