Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Process Technician to join our manufacturing team in Michigan. You will manage setup, operation, and troubleshooting of injection molding machinery to meet quality benchmarks and production targets.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, optimize production efficiency, and support the facility's overall goals in a hands-on, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional experience in injection molding or process technology.
• Proficiency in machine setup, process documentation, and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with RJG methodologies and Master Molder training is highly desirable.
• Commitment to safety by operating machinery with PPE and lifting up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Configure injection molding systems and peripheral equipment for production cycles.
• Execute machine startups, shutdowns, and troubleshoot while logging process adjustments.
• Collaborate with Die Setters, Material Handlers, and Shift Supervisors for safe changeovers.
• Maintain production quality by ensuring only compliant products are shipped.
• Support mold sampling, mechanical maintenance, documentation, and related tasks.

Job description

A dynamic manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Process Technician to join their production team. You will be tasked with managing the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of injection molding machinery and auxiliary tools, ensuring that all output aligns with quality benchmarks and production targets.

Compensation and Schedule

• Earn a base rate of $29.29 hourly, supplemented by an 8% shift differential, with potential for higher pay based on your expertise.
• Potential for transition into a permanent staff role for top performers.
• This is a contract-to-hire position contingent upon your performance, attendance, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing setting focused on injection molding.
• Contribute to the overall success of the facility by optimizing production efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Daily Responsibilities

• Configure injection molding systems and peripheral equipment to prepare for production cycles.
• Execute machine startups, shutdowns, and technical troubleshooting while maintaining accurate records of process adjustments.
• Collaborate with Die Setters, Material Handlers, and Shift Supervisors to facilitate safe and efficient equipment changeovers.
• Maintain high quality standards by monitoring production output to ensure only compliant products are prepared for shipping.
• Support the team by assisting with mold sampling, mechanical maintenance, documentation, and various production-related tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field, with a focus on injection molding or process technology.
• Demonstrated proficiency in machine setup, process documentation, and technical troubleshooting within injection molding.
• Familiarity with RJG methodologies, Master Molder training, and cavity pressure sensor technology is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety by operating machinery correctly, utilizing PPE, and lifting up to 45 pounds as required.
