Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. is seeking a Process Technician in Oklahoma City to oversee the injection molding process from setup through maintenance and repair. The role reports to Jeff Ward within Manufacturing / Operations / Quality and requires hands-on expertise with molding tools and process parameters.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of injection molding experience, basic hand tool knowledge, and a High School diploma or GED. RJG certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify machine cycle, cavitation, and setup parameters before start-up.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform minor mold, machine, and equipment repairs as needed.
• Follow Franklin’s manufacturing quality system and procedures.
• Work with QA to prevent nonconforming product and ensure quality.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical repairs from process monitoring to ensure part conformity.
• Assist in meeting scheduling targets and communicate deviations as needed.

Description

Oversight of all aspects of the injection molding process to include set-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of injection molding tools, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify that the machine cycle, cavitation, and set-up parameters are correct prior to start-up.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform any minor mold, machine, and equipment repairs as needed.
• Follow Franklin’s manufacturing quality system.
• Work with QA department to prevent any nonconforming product.
• Adhere to company safety policies as well as OSHA rules and regulations.
• Perform troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs from process monitoring and part inspections to ensure part conformity and quality.
• Assist in obtaining scheduling targets and communicate possible issues and deviations appropriately.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Skills and Abilities

• Possess functional knowledge of injection molds, injection molding machines, and injection molding process.
• Possess a minimum of three years of injection molding experience, including processing.
• Possess basic hand tool knowledge and use experience.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• RJG certification preferred.
