Job Description

1. Clean and assemble process equipment and perform machine setups and changeovers according to the production schedule.
2. Work with Process and Cell Engineers to complete production tasks to meet daily and weekly goals.
3. Provide direction and training to Production Associates on equipment operation.
4. Perform minor mechanical repairs and assist engineering with electrical and controls hardware/software.
5. Learn detailed operation of equipment for mixing, coating, calendaring, slitting, punching, and assembly.
6. Evaluate and maintain accurate measurements to ensure quality.
7. Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for production.
8. Understand product specifications and maintain statistical quality control data where required.
9. Record production data accurately.
10. Keep workspace clean and handle materials properly.
11. Maintain a safe workplace and participate in safety improvements.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent; two-year technical or Associate Degree preferred.
2. 2-4 years of hands-on machine setup experience in manufacturing, preferably in battery or related fields.
3. Knowledge of equipment used in mixing, coating, calendaring, and assembly.
4. Ability to write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
5. Knowledge of health and safety laws related to production.
6. Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
8. Ability to perform extended periods of standing, sitting, climbing, squatting, walking, and repetitive motions.
