Job Description
- Clean and assemble process equipment and perform machine setups and changeovers according to the production schedule.
- Work with Process and Cell Engineers to complete production tasks to meet daily and weekly goals.
- Provide direction and training to Production Associates on equipment operation.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and assist engineering with electrical and controls hardware/software.
- Learn detailed operation of equipment for mixing, coating, calendaring, slitting, punching, and assembly.
- Evaluate and maintain accurate measurements to ensure quality.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for production.
- Understand product specifications and maintain statistical quality control data where required.
- Record production data accurately.
- Keep workspace clean and handle materials properly.
- Maintain a safe workplace and participate in safety improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; two-year technical or Associate Degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of hands-on machine setup experience in manufacturing, preferably in battery or related fields.
- Knowledge of equipment used in mixing, coating, calendaring, and assembly.
- Ability to write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety laws related to production.
- Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to perform extended periods of standing, sitting, climbing, squatting, walking, and repetitive motions.
