Job summary

Boge-Rubber- is seeking a production operator to support plastic molding operations in a fast-paced facility. You will perform mold changeovers, operate presses and robotics, and ensure safety and efficiency in daily production tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and typically 6 months to 1 year of plastic operations experience. Candidates must be able to read procedures, write concise reports, and work in a noisy plant environment.

• Ability to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, procedures and/or work instructions.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of management, associates, customers, and public.

Responsibilities

• Change over plastic injection presses and secondary equipment with safety considerations.
• Keep an overview of the inventory to ensure customer shipments.
• Perform daily mold PM’s.
• Write work orders for maintenance personnel for equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure the proper resin is used during press changeover.
• Troubleshoot presses and adjust settings as needed.
• Adjust robots and sprue pickers for proper handling of parts.
• Start up and shut down production, including chillers, compressors, and dryers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILTIES:Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.Change over plastic injection presses and secondary equipment with consideration of all safety aspects.Be able to perform the change overs with different clamping systems: i.e. magnetic platens, clamps, spigeots in the most efficient and safest way.Keep an overview of the inventory to ensure customer shipments.Performing daily mold PM’s.Write work orders for maintenance personnel in the instance of equipment breakdowns.Ensure the proper resin is used during press changeover.Ability to use the different resin dryer systems.Perform troubleshooting on presses.Ability to adjust settings when needed, i.e. quality of parts changed.Adjust robots to ensure the correct handling of parts without damaging the product.Adjustment of robots and sprue pickers.Able to start up and shut down production, including: chillers, compressors, resin dryers, presses, and secondary equipment.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school Diploma or GED.Preferred is a minimum of six months to 1 year experience in plastic operations.JOB REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
