Job summary

BOGE Rubber & Plastics in Hebron, KY is seeking an operator to perform plastic operation tasks and manage press changeovers with safety as a priority. You will oversee resin use, run diagnostics, and support daily maintenance while ensuring smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

• Change over plastic injection presses and secondary equipment safely.
• Perform change overs with different clamping systems efficiently and safely.
• Monitor inventory to ensure customer shipments.
• Perform daily mold preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Write work orders for maintenance when equipment breaks down.
• Ensure correct resin is used during press changeovers and manage resin dryers.
• Troubleshoot presses and adjust settings to maintain product quality.
• Adjust robots and sprue pickers for proper handling and avoid damage.
• Able to start up and shut down production including chillers, compressors, and related equipment.

Job Location: Hebron - HEBRON, KY 41048, Salary Range: $30,570.30 - $50,951.28 Hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILTIES:

• Change over plastic injection presses and secondary equipment with consideration of all safety aspects.
• Be able to perform the change overs with different clamping systems: i.e. magnetic platens, clamps, spigeots in the most efficient and safest way.
• Keep an overview of the inventory to ensure customer shipments.
• Performing daily mold PM’s.
• Write work orders for maintenance personnel in the instance of equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure the proper resin is used during press changeover.
• Ability to use the different resin dryer systems.
• Perform troubleshooting on presses.
• Ability to adjust settings when needed, i.e. quality of parts changed.
• Adjust robots to ensure the correct handling of parts without damaging the product.
• Adjustment of robots and sprue pickers.
• Able to start up and shut down production, including: chillers, compressors, resin dryers, presses, and secondary equipment.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Preferred is a minimum of six months to 1 year experience in plastic operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; move around the plant; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch.

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
