Job summary

Ultradent Products Inc. is seeking a skilled molding process technician in the United States. You will adjust and monitor injection molding equipment and operate molding machines on a 5/8 schedule (Mon-Fri, 2 PM–10:30 PM).

Responsibilities include setting up tooling, ensuring first piece quality, and maintaining process controls for quality and efficiency. You will participate in continuous improvements and document processes accordingly.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience in a plastic manufacturing facility as a process technician/set up technician.
• Strong foundation in intermediate mathematics.
• Strong familiarity with quality measurements.
• Familiarity with mold tooling and components.
• Demonstrated problem solving and root/cause analysis skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
• Understanding of molding processing including the nature of plastics.
• Systematic Molding I – RJG, Paulson, or other accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Diagnose faults and determine required repairs; monitor and adjust to maintain cycle times, quality and equipment performance.
• Ensure all quality and production documentation is prepared prior to releasing to production.
• Ensure press tonnage setting and mold damage protection is set.
• Ensure first piece quality prior to releasing machine to production.
• Set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal.
• Start and process molding machines.
• Program and operate injection molding machines.
• Pull and set injection molds.
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tooling.
• Ensure a positive work environment and alignment with company goals.
