Job summary

Ultradent Products Inc. seeks a Process Technician to oversee the setup and operation of injection molding machines for precision molded parts. The role includes monitoring processes, ensuring first-piece quality, and coordinating with production on schedules.

The position emphasizes defect diagnosis, part handling, and continuous improvement, with a 5/8 schedule (Sun-Thu, 10 PM–6:30 AM) in the United States. Join a team dedicated to integrity and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in intermediate mathematics.
• Strong familiarity with quality measurements.
• Familiarity with mold tooling and components.
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively.
• Previous molding set-up experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Understanding of molding processing including the nature of plastics.
• Demonstrated problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Systematic Molding I accreditation (RJG/Paulson or similar).
• Three years minimum experience in a plastic manufacturing facility as a process technician/set up technician.
• 5+ years of injection molding experience as a Process Technician; HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure all quality and production documentation is prepared before release to production.
• Set press tonnage and mold damage protection correctly.
• Verify first piece quality before releasing to production.
• Set up End-of-Arm tooling for robotic removal.
• Start and process molding machines.
• Program and operate injection molding machines.
• Pull and set injection molds.
• Handle and care for all materials, molds, and tooling properly.
• Foster a positive work environment aligned with company goals.

Job description

Process Technicians are responsible for the proper set up and operation of injection molding machines for the production of precision molded plastic parts. Monitors the molding process to ensure product quality. Executes daily production tasks in accordance with production schedule. 5/8 Schedule (SUN-TH 10PM-6:30AM) (United States of America)

General Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, continuous process control by monitoring and making adjustments to maintain standard cycle times, product quality, equipment performance, and identifies potential maintenance needs/issues
• Ensure all quality and production documentation is prepared prior to releasing to production
• Ensure that press tonnage setting & mold damage protection is set.
• Ensure first piece quality prior to releasing machine to production
• Set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal
• Start and process molding machines
• Program and operate injection molding machines
• Pull and set injection molds
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tooling
• Ensure a positive work environment and awareness of company goals and objectives

• Experience/Schooling or Degree Required: Experience: 5+ years of injection molding experience as a Process Technician and is able to demonstrate evidence of knowledge. High School diploma or equivalent.
