Job Description
Position Overview
Set up and operate all equipment. Maintain all operations in a safe and efficient way and ensure quality is acceptable and production requirements are met.
Essential Responsibilities And Duties
- Drive maintenance, quality and production in the setup, profiling and start‑up of both new and existing tooling
- Troubleshoot existing profile‑related problems
- Assist in developing Two‑Step blow moulding operators’ profiling skills and problem‑solving techniques
- Ensure all new tooling has documented master profiles and keep existing master profiles up to date
- Manage and update master profile sheets
- Complete change‑overs using mechanical setup sheets; provide feedback and guidance on proper machine setup to ensure master profile operating parameters will work; document setup sheets of new tooling; profile and document master profiles as required on new tooling; update mechanical setup sheets as needed
- Assist the changeover team in mechanical set up of the blow molder
- Assist production in profiling existing tooling from master profile sheets
- Assist production and quality in solving recurring defects caused by improper profiles
- Develop and maintain progressive training in Two‑Step theory and application; identify, plan, and conduct or coordinate technical training for plant employees (GMP, SOPs, WIs, FCDs, machine operations, processing, lockout/tagout, or forklift/man lift operations)
- Develop work instructions and levels program for Two‑Step operations
- Perform all other tasks as directed
- Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical components that impact the processing of a heat‑set container
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years’ experience in PET manufacturing
- Strong machine/mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of operation and mechanical downstream equipment preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts, including call‑ins and weekends as needed to support production changeovers and start‑ups
- Working knowledge of PET carbonated and non‑carbonated containers
- Previous operating and profiling experience with Husky machines
- Working knowledge of practical experience with quality product specifications and control methods
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts
- Travel 10%

- Reports to the Process Engineer
- Coordinate with shift supervisors and maintenance & quality personnel
