Key Responsibilities
- Serve legal documents: deliver legal documents to the intended recipients, ensuring lawful and appropriate service.
- Locate recipients: use investigative techniques to locate and identify individuals or entities to whom documents need to be served.
- Record service details: maintain accurate and detailed records of all service attempts.
- Ensure compliance: ensure all service procedures adhere to local, state, and federal laws.
- Maintain confidentiality: handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Communicate: communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
- Testify in court: be prepared to testify regarding service of legal documents.
- Maintain professionalism: professional demeanor and appearance during service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a bachelor's degree in legal studies or related field).
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to service of legal documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass civil and criminal background check.
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screening.
- Must have a smartphone and computer with printer.
- Must be responsible and have desire to complete assignments.
- Dependable transportation as a requirement.
