Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Process Scientist I to join the MSAT team in Portsmouth, NH. This fully site-based role involves leading technology transfer and manufacturing process support activities within a GMP environment, developing process understanding, and delivering critical documentation to support commercial manufacturing.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences or related fields, with a Master’s degree or PhD preferred, and a track record in GMP manufacturing.

• Knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience authoring and reviewing technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for technology transfer and manufacturing process support activities.
• Develop process understanding, perform risk assessments, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Author and review process descriptions, batch records, change controls, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, analyze process data, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and product quality assessments.
• Represent MSAT on customer-facing and internal project teams, including audits and operational meetings.
• Support lot release activities and ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
