Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Process Safety (PSM) Professional for a 1-2 year contract in Texas. The role focuses on mentoring operations teams, guiding PHA/LOPA facilitation, and maturing the incident investigation process with RCFA.

You will work closely with the PSM Manager to develop programs, perform gap analysis, and transition MOC activities to a digital system. The ideal candidate has refinery experience with 2-4 years in Process Safety, hands-on MOC, PHA, and incident

Qualifications

• 3-6 years refinery experience; 2-4 years in Process Safety
• Hands-on experience with MOC processes
• PHA facilitation experience
• Incident investigation experience (RCA, Fishbone, Taproot)
• Experience in incident management and coaching leadership

Responsibilities

• Mentor operations personnel to enhance knowledge and proficiency.
• Guide PHA and LOPA facilitation to upskill participants and promote best practices.
• Help establish a sustainable and mature Incident Investigation Process (RCFA).
• Support day-to-day incident calibration, alignment, and correct categorization, while coaching mid-level management on incident management.
• Assist with MOC/PMOC/MOOC processes and contribute to the creation of a process utilizing the MOC Tool.
• Transition paper-based MOCs into a new digital system.
• Collaborate with the PSM Manager on program development and perform gap analysis on current PSM programs.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Process Safety (PSM) Professional to support and enhance our client's safety and operational practices. This is a contract position with a duration of 1-2 years, offering a competitive per diem and PTO benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in mentoring operations personnel to enhance their knowledge and proficiency.
• Provide guidance on Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) facilitation to upskill participants and promote Best Practices.
• Help establish a sustainable and mature Incident Investigation Process (including Root Cause Failure Analyses - RCFA).
• Support day-to-day incident calibration, alignment, and correct categorization, while coaching mid-level management on incident management.
• Assist with MOC/PMOC/MOOC processes and contribute to the creation of a process utilizing the company's MOC Process Tool.
• Transition paper-based MOCs into a new digital system.
