Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, Occupational Health, or related discipline required.
• 7+ years of experience in Process Safety, HSE, operational risk management or HSE leadership in regulated manufacturing.
• Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, CCPSC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Process Safety, Electrical Safety, and Energy Control (LOTO) programs.
• Lead the implementation and improvement of site Process Safety Management programs.
• Facilitate PHA/HAZOPs, risk assessments, and hazard evaluations to mitigate operational risks.
• Manage the site's MOC program and evaluate risks prior to implementation.
• Integrate process safety into manufacturing operations and business processes.
• Support design, installation, startup, qualification, and modification of equipment and systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Administer and improve Electrical Safety and Energy Control programs and Arc Flash assessments.
• Lead process safety reviews for new technologies, capital projects, and equipment installations.
• Coordinate ISO45001 audits and contribute to other ISO certifications.
• Execute industrial hygiene exposure monitoring with the site Industrial Hygienist.
• Act as HSE representative for client projects and regulatory inspections.
• Conduct compliance audits, inspections, and field observations to identify improvements.
• Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and CAPAs related to safety events.
• Monitor and report process safety metrics and KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Maintain regulatory records and reports for stakeholders.
• Support contractor safety programs and qualifications.
