Job summary

Koch Capabilities Process Safety is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to build training and risk assessment capability across multiple sites in the US. The role focuses on transforming PHA processes, driving data-informed risk decisions, and partnering with site teams to strengthen process safety programs.

The position requires strong communication, background in risk assessment methods, and willingness to travel; hybrid work options are available with ~35% travel.

Qualifications

• Process safety experience or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience using risk assessment principles to identify and address process safety risks.
• Experience participating in or facilitating PHA and other risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Build valuable relationships and risk assessment capability with site personnel.
• Lead cross-site and cross-functional team efforts to advance risk assessment and drive consistency with site PHA programs.
• Provide on-site PHA or risk assessment facilitation/scribe support when needed.
• Perform benchmarking to improve PHA performance and develop new guidance as needed.
• Assist with PHA transformation efforts by using site data to frame process safety risks and opportunities.
• Support day-to-day process safety activities across multiple sites in related disciplines.
