Job summary

Midwest Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family, is hiring a Process Project Engineer based in Murfreesboro, TN. The role leads capital projects from design through installation, commissioning, and handover, collaborating daily with operations and quality to maintain production.

Key duties include coordinating vendors, testing new equipment, managing RFQs and CapEx approvals, and ensuring site milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; mechanical engineering favored.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with operations and quality to run engineering tasks.
• Oversee on-site vendor activities with safety compliance.
• Coordinate testing for new equipment (electrical, automation, water, CIP).
• Lead commissioning and train production and maintenance teams.
• Define equipment capacity and identify gaps for future R&D.
• Translate business needs into precise specs for tanks, pumps, valves, heat exchangers.
